About
Hi there, salutations, my name is Alexi.
I am a newly minted researcher and seasoned digital ops & marcom specialist interested in the human-AI interface, productivity, and branching out into new areas of expertise.
What I’m working on now:
- Researching the mediating factors of AI on human cognitive engagement, memory formation and development at the University of Ottawa.
- Serving as Head of Operations for a small media company with 400M+ long form video views, helping with $500K+ in direct sponsorships, an e-commerce platform, PR relations, travel logistics, payroll, and budgeting.
- Contributing as a digital operations specialist at the Life Research Institute, promoting healthy living and healthy aging across the lifespan.
- Consulting on growth, content, and IT to C-suite executives and researchers.
- Having fun learning diverse topics, home automation and spending very few moments worrying about technological singularity.
My journey began at the age of 12, when I started selling and hosting video game servers from my parents' basement. By the age of 14, I was managing a community of over 100,000 players, monetized through in-game microtransactions and supported by a small technical team. This experience sparked my passion for building digital communities and innovative solutions.
Driven by a love for the digital era, I went on to establish the first-ever French-Canadian YouTube partnership network, which later evolved into a media agency. Over the years, I have provided creative services to local businesses, eventually scaling my expertise to support global brands and C-suite executives.
My core strengths lie in communication and strategy, with a focus on content creation, creator-led marketing, and social media. Since 2020, I’ve had the pleasure of supporting the growth of award-winning content creator Gurky, contributing to his success as a global influencer.
Academically, I hold a bachelor’s degree in psychology and am currently completing my master’s at the University of Ottawa. My research focuses on human-AI interactions, particularly exploring questions such as:
- How do AI-powered tools influence users' cognitive processes?
- How can we design AI systems to align with human cognitive needs?
Through my studies, I have cultivated a deep interest in productivity, workflow optimization, and personal growth. These themes resonate across my principles and management philosophy, and my personal life.
A few of the favorite classes I took
- Clinical Psychology (assessments and psychotherapeutic strategies)
- Affective and Persuasive Computing (taking over... your mind!)
- Behavioral Neuroscience (behavioral mechanisms, their vulnerabilities)
- Process Mining, Modeling and Automation (careful with this)
- Applied Data Science (12345, what am I doing here)
- Psychopathology (mental illnesses with biological foundations)
- HBX CoRe (Harvard's pre-MBA, the fundamentals you actually need)
- The Sound of Rock (... rock music!)
- Cybersecurity Management (Umar Ruhi is a legend)
- Dirty Fighting (from my short time doing Krav Maga)
Let’s connect! I want to collaborate on impactful projects at the intersection of technology and human behavior. Whether you are looking to discuss ideas, explore partnerships, or work together, reach out.
